Waterchase resident Marc Gitomer had always enjoyed the successes of co-owning a well-run business. As an orchestra leader and event planner in Philadelphia, he earned upwards of $500,000 per year making music and planning parties, the two things he lived for. That is, until the October night he began his late trek home from an event and was hit by a 23-year-old drunken driver who had run a red light. Gitomer's life changed forever. He traded swanky parties for therapy and support groups at the Moss Rehab Hospital's Drucker Brain Center and traded playing the saxophone and flute for getting to know himself again. After being diagnosed with traumatic brain injury (TBI) - an injury to the brain caused by trauma to the head - Gitomer was forced to give up his career to take charge of his health.
One way he did so was by adopting the use of BIOPRO Technology products. BIOPRO, a California-based company that produces products that help harmonize or neutralize the electromagnetic radiation given off by such items as cell phones, microwaves and automobiles. Because Gitomer had opted early on for a holistic treatment method rather than medication, after doing some research, he saw no harm in trying one of the company's products. So, at the urging of a friend, Gitomer placed one of BIOPRO's cell chips on his cellular telephone. "I noticed that when the chip is applied to my cell phone, I get more out of my day," Gitomer said. "Within about one day, it increased my cognitive duration and reduced my stress." At that point, about three years after the accident, Gitomer's physical symptoms of TBI had almost disappeared, but the mental limitations were still running his life. He experienced sudden mental fatigue and short-term memory loss, in addition to increased stress. "Basically, I instantly became a different person," Gitomer said. "It's a silent disability because once you start to look OK, people expect you to be who you were and you can't."
But Gitomer says with the help of BIOPRO, he is slowly getting his life back. In the past year, in addition to being an avid user of the products, he has also become one of BIOPRO's 5,000 product distributors. He works from home at his own pace and has dedicated himself to teaching people about the consequences of not protecting yourself against electromagnetic radiation. His move to Florida at the beginning of June was the last step in Gitomer's venture for a fresh start.
"It's been a remarkable couple of years. I just feel like this is the right place for me to be," he said. "I anticipate being successful beyond my wildest dreams. "According to Alfred Hanser, co-founder and president of BIOPRO, the awareness level of what he calls electropollution, seems to be surprisingly high in areas like southern California. "They know about the problem; they want to hear about the solution," Hanser said. But, in most areas of the United States, he said, the company has some convincing to do. "Being a pioneer in the industry, we realize there is an educational responsibility that comes with what we do," Hanser said. "We tend to spend a good 60 percent of presentations on the problem."
The problem, according to both he and Gitomer, is that electromagnetic radiation has tremendous affects on stress response. Hanser said while other products attempt to block the radiation, BIOPRO's products neutralize it.
"They don't block, shield, divert or reduce radiation," he said of products like the BIOPRO cell chip, QLink pendant, universal chip and the QX-3. "They change the radiation's impact on the body." Gitomer, who wears a QLink pendant around his neck, has universal chips on his cell phone and both home portable telephones, uses two QX-3's on his car's gas tank and takes two fruit and berry and two vegetable BIOProduce supplements per day, said he is now aiming to spread the word about the products. "I feel morally compelled and obligated to let others know about this," Gitomer said. "I'm in the process of putting my life back together thanks to these remarkable products."
Hanser is also a strong believer in the technology that backs up his company's products. He said he witnessed more than four months of testing and used the products himself to determine if they really work.
"The stories we're getting back from people follow up on what the research has shown," Hanser said. "The testimonials validate not only that it works, but people can feel a difference." Gitomer said he simply wants people to know how they can boost their energy and reduce stress. "I think anybody who can lower stress is going to live a happier life," he said.
